Probally a dumb question but - What does the (Guard) damage taken- on ducal guard mean?
I assume it does exactly what it implies. Reduces damage taken on a succesful Guard. Guard being the Hand-to-Hand equivalent of a shield block.

Thats what I thought, so with capped guard would this be a good atma slot for tanking monk? And how about Pld use?
Can't argue with -50% Damage taken under 50% health.
Both jobs have there own forums with a bazillion atma posts from people who likely know more than me.
But I would say no, it is a wasted slot. Any WHM worth there salt won't let you be under 50% for more than a second.
