I finally got around to making a PLD spellcast XML and shamelessly stole this from the Windower site. I am not good with computer. (seriously XML may as well be Japanese to me, but I am smart enough to figure out the basics).

The problem is the second last line: </rules>

When I try to load my SC, that's where it says the error is. Cannot read end tag.

Thanks!

Nevermind, the whole thing isn't working :(

Time to start from scratch.

<rule spell="Utsusemi*">
<action type="equip" when="start" set="haste" />

</rule>

if you use notepadd++ you can highlight your beginning, and ending tags
helps me alot~

Wow, that is an ancient spellcast - they deprecated the <rule> format a couple of major versions ago. Yeah, don't bother fixing that up. Neosutra has an excellent PLD.xml available on windower.net, though it's probably a lot more complex than you're looking for.

Here's mine, if you're interested:

Thanks so much. I was hoping to see someone elses SC set, and indeed I had a lot of trouble with Neo's (too complicated for a non-computer savy person like myself) ; ;

I will most likely steal yours now. Thanks again for the replies!

Unless I'm missing something there's no TP set in there for sword/shield.

He uses Koenig Schaller unless shadows are up then its Zelus Tiara.

Not sure if you have picked this up and fixed it but the second should be cover:
Code
<if spell="Chivalry">
      <action type="castdelay" delay=".5" />
      <action type="equip" when="precast" set="Mind" />
    </if>

    <if spell="Chivalry">
      <action type="castdelay" delay=".5" />
      <action type="equip" when="precast" set="Cover" />
    </if>

I'm not a person who uses spellcast, but I know of it, the basics of it, and some of the stuff it can do.

Question: Can spellcast recognize when a mob is casting on you, and then switch from your standard/tp set to an MDT set?
Does the same apply for PDT and physical attacks while under the effect of petrify, terror, stun, sleep?

thanks in advance for taking the time to answer.

No. Spellcast can only act when you do something. For an action to trigger when someone else does something, you have to look at something like autoexec.

I too was in need of an upgrade to my PLD spellcast so i decided to sample your sc Kelhor and replace with my gear, however when i do that all my groups and rules reset to 1 and 0 respectively. What did I do wrong?

It's probably a good idea to use pastebin for this kind of stuff since AH replaces certain text characters and it may ruin it.

line 117, column 3 XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: </rring>.

Meaning the end tag on odium ring is <rring> when it should be </rring>.

aside from that, I didn't notice anything wrong when i loaded the XML. Wasn't exactly in depth testing though.
