Phoenix.Hagino said: does this mean my build is good/bad? lol edit: I'd play around a bit with agi vs. MAB, but MAB will probably take the cake. i just wonder about the rings~ should i use those over say...agi rings or str rings?
I've been playing with numbers. There are parts of the formula that I'm not sure of so my numbers could be way off (I don't know fINT). The formula that I'm using is D = (90+2+.6AGI)*5.5(fTP)*1.2(vulcan's staff)*(1+MAB/100). It's kind of interesting because different situations win depending on what your AGI and MAB are already at.
The set I was planning for wildfire was a bit different than yours: I ran numbers based on my cruor buffs and the atmas I plan to use and it looks like Andwig Salade and Mirke Wardecors win out over Bersail Cap + AF3 +2 body, however 2 stormsoul rings always beat 2 demon rings. The thing I wonder about is the -6 INT from those and so I wonder if auster's rings would beat stormsoul (auster's rings still beat demon rings in my calculation). For lower values I think as a general rule 2AGI equals 1MAB. However as AGI gets higher it takes extra AGI to equal half it's MAB value.
thanks hoshiku, if thats the case i'll pickup some agi rings. THe other thing i was also thinking about redoing my legs from ASA for 4 MAB / barrage +1
get some dual purpose out of them. I currently have it built for my blm but better things have come out since when ASA was released. Edit: it will make MAB +4, AGI +2 and barrage +1 Phoenix.Hagino said: does this mean my build is good/bad? lol HQ staffs are 1.15 btw... which wont effect the relationship between MAB and agi. But yes like he said the more agi you have or the lower the mob int the less agi will be worth compared to MAB and vice versa.
Also that formula is a bit more off. D = ((lvl+2+wsc)*fTP + 2*(agi-mobint))*staff bonus * day/weather bonus *MAB/MDB *whatever other bonus or mob weakness/shell etc Where wsc is 60% and the lvl correct factor is .85 at lvl 85-90. Note you must round the values down each time. So agi *.6 round down *.85 then add with other stuff continue. ftp=5.5 staff bonus, day/weather, MAB other bonuses etc work exactly like they do for nukes except of course you can't magic burst. The 2*(agi-mobint) term actually has a cap but it's 1276 for the whole term so you will only reach it with brew. As you can see this formula favors agi a bit more.... Easiest way to chose MAB over a agi peice would be just to plug it into the formula making slight assumptions on int (or you could back calculate it) as well as what your cruor buffs will be at the time. Though small differences between mob int and your agi will have a relatively small effect on the ratio of mab to agi for dmg so usually wont make a difference in gear choice unless it's something big or decent amounts of MAB. Also if you start using it on nms could you report what you've been getting? Because every nm I've fought and used it on in abyssea and alot of these were low tier crap nms have taken anywhere from 30-70% dmg less than they should... using sekka and damn near one shotting the NQ for like 3.4k then hitting the NM for 1.1k really drove that point home. Also fact that not everyone seems to know is that atma of the griffon claw does work with it and that's +20% ws dmg. And atma of the burning effigy refers to fire skillchain element not actual element... That's exactly why i choose the pieces with agi on them over 3-4 mab on the hands/feet slot. The rings though i think im going to lean towards agi as well. I will report back numbers when I can.
I was thinking about using ultimate, smoldering sky and gnarled horn? maybe use sea daughter instead but i dont think the regain will do much if im sitting on a 4 hit build anyways. maybe try out ultimate, beyond and smoldering sky I don't have smouldering sky yet so haven't been able to test how well it stacks with the other +fire dmg one but would probably be better than beyond. Also reaver grip yo. Also there is a 7 agi belt if your server has unlocked it and a 10 agi legs
So far dmg not bad but need just need one more item (MAB for legs) for optimal output w..... I should make a convert section for ugg pendant... or maybe just a quick maccro since I don't play on gaining mp all that often. But really the 6agi neck isn't too bad for it anyways
I have the 10 agi pants off the ixion in vunk~ wasnt sure if 8 agi would outdo 4 mab~
Im not sure which belt you are talking about, but would an elemental belt be better? i remembering wildfire having a high ftp so it doesnt do much but not sure. Not sure where you are getting 8 agi vs 4 mab since that seems to imply using it vs a 2agi 4 mab pants... ASA? Not sure I'd waste ASA on something that is pretty damn close to lol denali.
As far as belts sveltesse gouriz. However not all servers have unlocked that flux in walk of echos so you might not have it. crudelis belt however is pretty good and cheap. As far as the gorget belts well kinda depends on how much base dmg you are getting from stats/lvl so would probably have to math it out... That being said Wildfires high ftp and the fact that the dstat portion is added on after ftp makes +.1 to ftp kinda weak. I'd wager that the belt might add 1.5% to dmg most the time. For example if you ws in 250 agi and mob has 100 int it would be a 1.4% increase in dmg while a 5 agi belt would add 1.8% dmg i was implying making 4 mab and +1 barrage pants from ASA, i really dont have anything else to make off it. Right now they're blm pants for HNM from way back when with MB damage

This outdoes uggy dependent on moon phasing stuff like that is cool and all, but i like consistent damage that i dont have to wait for certain conditions. Nice toy for when i do happen to notice moonphase though.
Think back to selene's bow vs ebow Titan.Nathanielglory

Get spellcast, takes the worry out of it
i try not to play with any addons except tparty and distance
we should try to Augment our AGI rings with MAB on it, but knowing my luck with augment.........
My Mirke is MAB + QD (since its useable for my cor as well and I only swarp it in for Wildfire). I've gotten to the point I would just go 3 regain Atma and just fire off a Wildfire every 10s since mobs hardly stay alive long enough for me to actually shoot anymore, unless its NM then I'll swarp to Ultimate (MAB) / Gnarled Horn (AGI)/ Smouldering Sky (Or Kirin depending) Every 10 seconds!?! You have 26ish regain!?!
Don't forget 24tp per ranged shot (If I even get a shot in) while your regain kicks in. (Don't forget conserve tp , though it more towards 18-20s on average) (30s Max from a 0tp to 100tp)
(This is excluding the fact if a Cor was Tactical Rolling as well, since I have both Rng and Cor at 90) Of course I was counting tp per shot... though 24 is a bit much don't you think unless conserve tp kicks in. I mean the highest delay gun (which cor can't use) comes to base 18 tp/hit... so unless you ws in like 50 store tp...
21 seconds is much much more reasonable since that is more like 11-13 regain and you can get 10 from atmas. That being said I'd take at least one of those off for a fire atma or something. |
