I wanna know which servers that have these. Wanna try to figure out if there's anything we as players are able to do something to help spawning them.
Is it a bug that they have spawned on some servers and not on others?
Have the players on the servers they have spawned on done something that the other servers havent?
It seems that some servers had them spawning the same day, or the day after the update. While others, such as carby, havent gotten them yet.
There's gotta be a reason for that. Help me find that reason!

I've heard it has to do with killing all the timed/pop NMs. That is hearsay though, no proof.
They did pop on Lakshmi apparently as there were 8-9 Black Whiskers on the AH last night.

There was 1 sold to himself and then to someone else on ramuh... but yeah they aren't up. 10 and 8 mil btw lol

I guess that could be right. Just proves once again what a lazy, boring server carby is. Wouldn't surprise me at all if no one bother to kill NM's.
Black Whiskers apparently drop from pyxis too. Maybe you need to spawn x tiger NMs using chest drops before the regular tigers pop.
Just farmed the Tigers on Leviathan. Took 3-5 kills with TH4 to get drop. Sam - Thf - Whm and it was simple. Now it's about raising Fame.
Still no tigers on bismarck.
No whiskers on AH either.
Maybe no one is killing NM's :<

As of last night, still no Tigers on Bismarck server.
I have no idea what causes previously absent mob groups to start spanwning on various servers in Abyssea. I asked around about this too, and no one seemed to be able to produce any reasonable theories with any evidence.

Probably some condition like x NM killed x amount of times, amount of mobs killed, random time-time... etc etc. For the record they spawned yesterday morning on Shiva.Maybe someone moved an alt to another server with one in his inventory for some quick gil? idk

Sad, but someone(s) is definitely doing this, lol. There was a shout on Bismarck yesterday to sell the Whisker for 1 M. As stated above, no Tigers yet on Bismarck. So, either the guy was bluffing (why?), or he brought a whisker with him in a server transfer (lol).

Or got it from chest in abyssea? I havent seen it confirmed that they can drop from chests, but I dont see why not. Every other pop item seems to drop in chests as well.

It's a pop item, examining one of the ??? in vunkerl will tell you that you have a feeling that trading a black whisker along with 2 other items (dont remember which) will attract some monster.

North of conflux #4 there's an area with no mobs in it (unless the tigers have spawned) gonna find a map and mark it.

When doing the carrying the pack quest for Fame, you may or may not have the "gravity" inflicted on you removed if you were to say accidentally try to solo one of those Amoeban on the way and lose. However I wouldn't know anything about this. 4-6 heavy packs should get you max fame. ;)

For what it's worth, I've seen and read unconfirmed reports that GMs consider it an exploit to purposefully remove the quest's Weight effect by KO'ing.
Proceed at your own risk.
Only GMs here would consider commiting suicide and losing xp just to make a quest a little faster as an exploit

Have you actually seen it?
and for the whisker i was helping to farm it with TH4, u get back after completing the quest, so when i hit fame3 i will ask to borrow :)
