In general its push by SE to get magic wielders back into xp parties. So i'm happy!
Hey, good stuff! I always wanted to level BLM but wasn't too keen on the idea that I'd have to solo it all the way... That just might be my motivation to level a 3rd job ^^
Blms are also useful in the new Misareaux coast bird ptys. As for soloing on blm. From like 52-64 you can get 8-12k exp/hour effortlessly. Then the mixed in Mana burn ptys. Blm was a lot of fun to level.

thrilled to get to 80 and give the finger to Kirin since hes not the only one with Stone V now. but, now ill have to tweak my BLM macro pallets which used to be perfect... bitter-sweet for me :/

It's hard to argue with 18 people getting huge amounts of EXP an hour and cruor to buy really good gear with.
In general, it seems a meripo style party of 18 people gets rid of a lot of job bias for not just BLM but a lot of the other jobs. I was in a PT that was doing just fine with 3 PUPs and 2 BSTs. It gives me great hope for the future of jobs going from 80 to 99.
